1)      I wanted to kill romance with this film. The romance that people attach to love has really become a sickness that is in many ways distracting and destructive. We all know heaps of relationships and we all know that they fail-most of them. And you want to rebel because it's such a favorite illusion.
2)      I think that the romantic impulse is in all of us and that sometimes we live it for a short time, but it's not part of a sensible way of living.
